In 2019 the Llangrannog Welfare Committee was approached by a local woman, Bethan Williams, who was aware of an interest in raising a memorial to Cranogwen. Committee member Anne-Marie Bollen was separately involved in trying to get a Purple Plaque for Cranogwen in Llangrannog.
The Welfare Committee had an initial meeting with Elin Jones AM in November 2019, and there was much enthusiasm, but the advent of Covid-19 restricted development.
