Some of the Cranogwen statue team met up at Y Senedd in Cardiff Bay for the launch of the exhibition of Meinir Mathias’s Monumental Welsh Women portraits.
Five portraits of five amazing Welsh women, starting with the Cranogwen portrait that she created before even knowing about our statue project.
We heard from five prominent women in Wales, discussing their involvement in the project and answering questions about its impact and future legacy. Many thanks to Elin Jones AM for sponsoring and presenting this fabulous evening.
30 prints of each portrait have been produced to raise money for the last statue of Elizabeth Andrews (the Cranogwen ones are long sold out, sorry!). Visit MWW for info.
